VE Day, a symbol of British resilience
The strength, resilience and bravery of our nation will be remembered on Friday 8th May as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe. Today, we’re united as our nation was 75 years ago with the threat of Coronavirus - we keep fighting in these challenging times.
The team at BIS would like to take the time to salute the brave heroes in WW2 and remember the sacrifice they made to ensure the people of today had a bright future. We would also like to thank our frontline workers who are working tirelessly to keep us safe literally putting their lives at risk.
Ours, and possibly the nation's favourite good news story is that of Captain Tom, whose bravery has spanned over the second World War and Covid-19, raising over £30 million for our NHS from his home.
Here at BIS we have adopted the same attitude and are working as normal, albeit from the safety of our homes.
