Meet Claire Paulus
Arranging locum insurance for GP surgeries is an area in which BIS has particular skill and is incredibly proud to offer, especially in the recent climate when many GP surgeries have struggled to maintain their service provision. This is mainly down to the capability, passion and hard work of Claire Paulus.
Claire is Director and Co-owner of Bespoke Indemnity Solutions Ltd (BIS), which provides GP practices with locum insurance to meet their evolving needs. With over 15 years’ experience in the GP insurance sector and an in-depth knowledge of her field, Claire is responsible for the overall strategic management of the company and its clients.
She takes great pride in working collaboratively with clients to understand and meet their needs, and strives to create a professional yet personal culture within the business. She says her objectives are ‘to provide a best of breed policy to the medical sector, with a high level of customer service and to be an employer that staff don’t want to leave’.
A typical day for Claire involves liaising with clients, marketing, supporting staff, accounts, business development analysis, market analysis and compliance. She particularly enjoys educating clients and staff in areas they are unsure about and exceeding expectations in all that she does. When asked what motivates her, she replies: “Great feedback from clients!”
Openly admitting she likes to be the best at everything she does, Claire says: “I’m a driven individual that likes to educate others with the skills I have, to help them succeed.” She describes her job as ‘specialist, evolving and rewarding’ and says she is inspired by the Scottish entrepreneur and parliamentarian, Baroness Michelle Mone OBE.
Claire actively attends many workshops, but while she is a dynamo at work, she has a soft side too, enjoying family life and spending time with her grandchildren in her spare time.
